Challenge:
I had an issue of consistent forgetfulness at 21. The peak it got to was when I forgot my mom’s Birthday and remembered 2 days after. I needed something for a change, I needed something that helped me store the barrage of ideas and thoughts I thought about on a second basis. I needed a digital brain mad specifically to my taste and likeness.
I needed a store for:
I needed a store for:
- Birthdays
- People I meet
- My tasks
- My projects
- My Earnings
- My Ideas, wish lists, Quotes, Passwords, office matters, Resources etc
Solution:
The process to this was first through mapping out my whole life and categorizing the different areas of my life. It was from there I started breaking down the areas using both the GTD and the PARA system. The goal of this system was not just to be another notion system, but to become that automated helper, the missing piece.
Along side the automation, I created in database automation that notifies me when something happens, when my passwords are being messed with, when I add new entries into the system. The system is well formularized to give accurate birthday updates, earnings reports, prospect reports, and quotes to uplift my day.
I also made use of charts to give me a visual representation of where I was and how I was doing as regards a particular area of my life.
Result:
Taking control of your life is actually a thing. It’s not far fetched with the right system. I have control over 90% of what happens, I know what I am supposed to be doing and how well I am performing on my projects, tasks and overall tracking. Also, a lot of my time has been saved because I don’t have to persecute my brain to remember what I thought about some three hours ago.
Benefits:
- More time
- Better organization
- Ability to track various areas of my life all at once.
